Very simple, but not easy. ;) We use WingBacks in our ground game because we do not have a lot of big players. We hand-off or pitch a WB the ball when we are rushing, but as you can see, they are also aligned in a position to quickly get downfield into deeper pass patterns. These seam routes will come open very often if you have a strong rushing attack from the same formation. By rushing the football successfully, the safeties tend to roll down their alignment to try and defend the run.
