Wedding reception violence leads to six arrests and two hospitalizations

The scene for the matrimonial violence was Newport, Rhode Island, where the peaceful drunken singing and trying to make out with the bridesmaids was upended by a group of apparently uninvited guests trying to gain access to the reception. After the cops were called, the situation deteriorated faster than the bride’s makeup after the third glass of wine. Having already tried to punch an employee at the venue and brutally shoving another, the chief of the uninvited guests was being cautioned by police when his wife and friends decided to surround the cops. The wife appeared to lose her balance and fall (we wonder why) while being told to keep back, which was the spark for this marriage between alcohol and confusing violence. Slapping, punching, gun grabbing, a bloody nose, a knockout blow to the jaw and a good, old-fashioned groin kicking were just some of the highlights of the brawl, which resulted in six arrests and two of the guests being taken to hospital. All six guests will now have the opportunity to say ‘I do,’ although the question will be ‘do you plead guilty to making the bride’s wedding night memorable for all the wrong reasons?’
