Most scientists are completely unaware that serum ACE-2 exists and this explains their difficulty in making sense of COVID-19. Serum ACE-2 tends to only be elevated in older persons and those with specific comorbidities. This is mirrored by the mortality figures in COVID-19 with 97.4% of deaths (statistics from the USA) being associated with at least one comorbidity. “Gain of function“ research would therefore not be accidental and means a deliberate targeting of the older, unhealthy population. Humanity needs to pause and reflect carefully on where we are going.
