A mass brawl broke out in Kosovo's parliament on Thursday, as reaction to Prime Minister Albin Kurti’s speech descended into violence. Kurti was speaking about government measures to defuse tensions with ethnic Serbs in the north of the country, when an opposition lawmaker appeared to spit water at him. Naturally, this was the cue for several dozen politicians and staff to leap into a fist fight, ongoing tensions over the matter spilled out on all sides. The session was only resumed four hours later, and was immediately disrupted again by opposition lawmakers, who held placards portraying Kurti and one of his colleagues as Pinocchio.
