Today marks 32 years since the assassination of martyr Salah Khalaf, known as “Abu Iyad“. A founder of Fatah, Abu Iyad devoted himself to the militant struggle and took over important positions within the faction. Abu Iyad was present in all sites of the revolution: in Cairo, Damascus, Jordan, Beirut and Tunisia. Abu Iyad led many operations throughout the years of the Lebanese war, staying steadfast against the occupation. He is also credited with founding the Black September Organization, which carried out some of the most effective external operations, such as the Munich Operation. Abu Iyad refused to lay down arms to negotiate with the enemy. He stuck to the thawabet always, saying “negotiations only serve the occupying enemy.“ On the 14th of January, 1991, Abu Iyad was assassinated in Tunisia along with Abu Al-Hol (Hayel Abdulhamid) and another Fatah member. After his assassination, internal fractures within the Fatah organization became evident, culminating in the traitorous Oslo agreements in 1993. #NoToNormalization Источник: Resistance News Network
