It's been over a week since I started my new job, and I think I like it. It’s different than my other secretary jobs, but the people seem nice and the pay is good. The work is a bit confusing, trying to organize everything, and there is a lot of new lingo I’m trying to get used to. The environment here is unusual. There’s noises that I can’t quite describe. They almost sound monstrous. But my office is very nice. I have my own desk, my own computer, and I sit next to very nice people. Jim is a little too chatty, but Alice seems like a nice person to keep around. She’s been helping a lot with me adapting. I do have to wonder what lies beyond my little office though. What happens in the lab? The information I’m inputting into the computer is so complicated I haven’t had time to really look at it, but it always seems very interesting.
