Fifty years ago, the television series M*A*S*H premiered on CBS. Leading the cast was Alan Alda, who played Dr. Benjamin Franklin “Hawkeye“ Pierce. In addition to being an actor, writer and director, Alda is also a bestselling author and fierce advocate for science communication.
