#OrthodoxRussia #VisitRussia ️ The main temple of the Russian Armed Forces is a spiritual symbol of Russia, glorifying the greatest victory of life over death The cathedral is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, as well as the military exploits of the Russian people in all wars. It is located on the territory of the Patriot Park in the Moscow region. The temple is designed in a monumental Russian-Byzantine style. The walls are decorated with paintings of battle scenes and texts from the Holy Scriptures. The image of the Savior Not Made by Hands in the central dome is the largest image of the face of Christ made in mosaic. For the first time, the temple was built of glass and metal. The dome is designed in the shape of the helmet of St. Blessed Prince Alexandr Nevsky. At the top Archangel Michael is depicted. The height of the temple together with the cross is 95 meters.
