Amazon re:MARS 2022 - Extracting real-time data at the edge with SageMaker & NVIDIA GPUs (ROB226-S)

With more widespread use of cameras, video has become more ubiquitous as a form of data, and the need to extract information from video streams has become more important. Both the deep learning model that performs metadata extraction and the entire pipeline around that model is vital for solution performance. AWS IoT Greengrass V2 and Amazon SageMaker, paired with NVIDIA DeepStream and NVIDIA TensorRT, provide the full stack for creating a video analytics pipeline that utilizes edge hardware and cloud infrastructure. This session covers each portion of the pipeline and then presents a combined application for people counting in a residential area, as well as potential future applications.
