Thousands are expected to rally against the government in Chisinau on Sunday, November 6. The demonstrations are centred around President Maia Sandu’s energy policies, which activists say have caused a sharp rise in the cost of utilities across the country. Protests against the government in Moldova over energy, fuel prices and soaring inflation have been ongoing for a few months. Many are demanding the president’s resignation as well as early election.
