For ‘Gold’ he teams up with New Zealander Carla Werner, whose most notable releases include the seminal ‘Southern Sun’ (with Paul Oakenfold) and her wonderful album ‘Departure’ [Colombia]. This remix release on Pure Progressive features two wicked versions of ‘Gold’. Firstly Nick Muir (Bedrock) delivers a mighty 124bpm groover that almost entirely disposes of the vocal, opting instead for an earthy, sumptuous production which hints at Slam’s ‘Positive Education’ in places. London / Madrid nomad LORRAINNE (Radikon, Krafted) remixes ‘Gold’ into a healthy slice of 124bpm deep melodic techno, celebrating the gorgeous vocal & adding lush pads, augmented piano notes & some neat trance elements.
