The park is located between the 1st and 3rd districts of Vienna and is open to the public. The size of the park is over m2. The park offers playgrounds, fountains, lots of lawn, monuments and sculptures. The Stadtpark was Vienna's first public park and was opened on August 21, 1862. There is also a Kursalon in the park. The Kursalon was built in 1865-1867 according to plans by Johann Garben in the Italian Renaissance style and opened on May 8, 1867.
