Our road to the Balkans winds through the beautiful and fairytale castles of Slovakia and Hungary. In the end of the day, we arrived in Croatia, near the Plitvice Lakes and very close to the famous underground Željava Air Base. As we approach our accommodation, we have a sad view, cleared forests, bombed houses from the time of the war. Actually here are minefields, and now they are demining these areas, that’s why is this desolating view. It was very exiting to spend the night on this minefield.
