This is one of those rare examples when I am uploading a piece for its' performance, rather than its' own merits, and, in this case, it is the former that first made me sit up. Otello in Rossini's treatment of Shakespeare gets the customary cavatina, rather interestingly connected into a whole piece by the adoption of similar music for the opening allegro and then the transitional tempo di mezzo to the cabaletta.
