The President of Ireland's dog, Bród, stole the show at an International Women’s Day event in Dublin. During the reception at Áras an Uachtaráin, the presidential residence, the Bernese mountain dog walked through the gathered crowd, before joining his owner, President Michael D Higgins, while he and his wife, Sabina Higgins, were seated for photographs. “Star of the show,” an attendee can be heard saying in footage shared by Storyful journalist Razan Ibraheem, which aimed to “celebrate acts of courage and determination by ordinary women who have played an extraordinary role in the history of their countries and communities,” according to the Presidential website. This is not Bród’s first time in the spotlight: during Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s tour of Ireland, he caught the attention of the press as he found his way into a number of photos and videos with the royal couple.
