Out for 3 days bushcrafting and hiking. A real turn in the weather. Experienced -20C in my last outing and six days later 16C. This super light weight tent setup worked great! The big surprise was how warm it was. The warmest I ever tried. With a shelter like that you can almost get away with a summer bag when it's close to freezing. I suggest practice this shelter at home first to get the hang of it. Don't make the first stick too tight. Inserting the second will be impossible. Green birch was not optimal. It was more brittle this season than I thought. Had to fix one pole with support of a tent peg and some cordage. Will ask around for some hazel for the next time, that don't grow on my property. Looking forward trying this again in summer in some rain. Thanks for watching! As always. Material for crafting is brought to site and not harvested on location. Leave no trace.
