Split Stitch Tutorial | Embroidery for Beginners | Embroidery Tutorial

Split stitch is a great alternative to long and short stitches, to fill in large spaces. Simply poke the needle through each stitch done prior and continue stitching to make the beautiful texture. I used 3 strands of DMC floss to create this effect on the Toucan’s beak. Full pattern will be available soon in my Etsy shop. Needle minder is also available in my shop.
