Studying Environmental Governance in Germany to impact the UN Goals I Fintiba Scholarship

Meet Malvika from India, one of the recipients of the Fintiba 2022 Scholarship. Malvika will start her master’s in Environmental Governance at the University of Freiburg in the winter 2022/2023 semester. She has witnessed how unplanned urban growth can influence climate change and worsen its impacts. As an environmental lawyer and researcher, she has realised that including marginalised groups in governance decisions is crucial to develop equality and sustainability. After her graduations, she hopes to be able to help local Indian governments to plan inclusive and climate-friendly growth.
