Hydroelectric generating unit No. 2 was put into operation at the Verkhne-Tulomskaya Hydropower Plant at the closing stage of the phased plant upgrade implemented since 2018. CEO of Gazprom Energoholding Denis Fedorov, and Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller and Governor of the Murmansk Region Andrey Chibis via a videoconference link gave a start to the unit, TASS reports. The plant’s install capacity reached 300 MW after completion of the upgrade and the capacity of the Kola Energy System increased by 32 MW.
