The group was formed in its current hometown of Chicago, Illinois originally consisted of the three Hutchinson sisters, all the children of Joseph and Lillian Hutchinson. The Emotions are an American Grammy Award-winning soul/R&B vocal group from Chicago, Illinois. The group originally consisted of three sisters; Wanda Hutchinson, Sheila Hutchinson and Jeanette Hutchinson. The sisters are all children of Joseph and Lillian Hutchinson. Their association with Maurice White of Earth, Wind & Fire brought them their greatest success.[2] With White's assistance, The Emotions released the albums Flowers, Rejoice, and Sunbeam in 1976, 1977, and 1978.
