How to say telephone numbers in English This English lesson will help you learn how to understand and say telephone numbers in English. We look at how we say each number individually in a phone number. We learn the two ways of saying the number 0 in a phone number. We learn how to say two or three consecutive numbers (double, triple, or said individually). We look at the famous 555 numbers in movies and TV series. We see how to ask for someone's telephone number and their likely response. We look at the difference between mobile phone and cell phone (British English vs. American English) We look at the parts of international phone numbers including the country code, area code, and local number. We look at Emergency Services numbers in different countries. At the end of this video there is a listening practice activity where you will hear 8 phone numbers which you need to write down.
