He is taken back to Buckingham Palace by car, where crowds wait to catch a glimpse of him. M/S of Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain coming out of Number 10 Downing Street as commentator says he is flying to a personal meeting with the German Chancellor (Adolf Hitler). Chamberlain is driven off in a car. At Heston airfield, Chamberlain makes a short speech at the door of his British Airways plane. He says that his policy has always been to try to ensure peace, and the Fuhrer's ready acceptance of his suggestion encourages him to hope that his visit will not be without result. The small crowd gives him three cheers and shouts “Good luck!“ as Chamberlain gets into the plane and sets off to Munich in Germany.
