In this outdoor adventure on @offroad801 I'll be highlighting our trek through some abandoned old western ghost towns. Where gold rush ruins were left behind, isolated in the mountain wilderness of Montana. * A lifetime ago, ghost town Garnet and Coloma was dealt a crushing blow. Just like many of these old towns, they started with a fantasy of striking it rich. They were a hub for the many mines covering the Garnet Mountain Range. And like most gold rush towns, never found their riches. The boom was short lived and very few persevered. You can easily hike your way up and explore the mountains as there are many old cabins, mines and portals are left exactly how they were, when the old timers left them. * Much of the historic fabric of Garnet still remains echoing “what once was“ It's now recognized as the most intact ghost town in Montana.
