DebianStating that the Installer team is happy to announce the second alpha release, Brulebois said; He said that starting this release, official patterns will include firmware packages. Brulebois said that the installation guide was also updated accordingly; stated that non-free firmware packages can be adjusted when installed. Brulebois stating that all amd64 install patterns will now boot on amd64 machines; He said that for 32-bit UEFI security software, users no longer need a multi-arch loader. Stating that the system is built on the Linux kernel, Brulebois; He said that 78 languages are supported in this version and full translation has been made for 40 of them. Brulebois stated that users' help is needed to find errors and further develop the installer;The Debian Installer team expressed their gratitude to everyone who contributed to this issue. :: More :: Debian 12 “Bookworm” enters soft freeze As will be remembered, Paul Gevers announced on January 19, 2023 that Debian 12 , codenamed “Bookworm“, which is expected to be available later this year, has started the code and package freezing process . Gevers; In a recent announcement, Debian 12 announced that it has entered the soft freeze process for “Bookworm“. As it is known, Debian 12 “Bookworm” with the first announcementthe developer team announced that they had frozen and stopped accepting migration requests on January 12; stated that they are working to complete the ongoing transitions. While it was stated that the second turning point of the ice cream process was the middle of February, it was stated that it would be a soft ice cream. This second turning point thus began with the second announcement of Paul Gevers. While it is stated that the third turning point of the freezing process is the middle of March, it is stated that this will be a hard ice cream. Gevers, stating that after February 12, 2023, only minor, targeted fixes will be appropriate; therefore, “Bookworm“ expressed that they want their maintainers to focus on small, targeted stated that “Bookworm” is in very good condition; When the release candidate phase is passed, He said that the issue of correcting errors will come to the fore.
