New Life by Depeche Mode, performed live at Crocs nightclub, Rayleigh, UK, 27th June 1981. This has been edited together using footage from a feature on the London Weekend Television entertainment programme Twentieth Century Box, broadcast in August 1981, together with soundboard audio from a bootleg. There's a bit of a cheat involved, though. Before Depeche Mode performed their set that evening, they did a playback runthrough of New Life, their most recent single at the time, for the benefit of the cameras. This is where the video used here comes from. But the audio is actually from the set itself. Hope knowing that doesn't spoil your enjoyment of the clip too much.
