Hyundai Mobis, the “parts and service” arm for South Korean automaker, is developing the e-Corner System, or better known as Crab Walking, were all four wheels can pivot 90 degrees, allowing the car to drive perfectly sideways into a parking space. But driving sideways is not all that it can do, this e-corner system is capable of performing four impressive maneuvers, which are pivot turning, diagonal driving, zero turning, and Crab Walking. 1) Pivot Turn – is where the rear wheels turn 90 degrees opposite of each other to swing the back of the vehicle around. 2) Diagonal Driving – is where all four wheels turn the same direction at an angle while still moving forward 3) Zero Turn – is where the front and rear wheels turn opposite of each other, to perform a spin-in-place turn. 4) Crab Walking - is where the wheels turn side on and can drive sideways either way.
