In this video we will show how to make a curved bench from beech and maple. We will show this woodworking process step by step. First of all, we will choose beech so that it has no knots. Beech wood in section has a simple structure with scattered small pores and is pale blue or light pink-brown, often with a brown core (in old trees) and mineral obtain a beautiful wood texture, trees are impregnated at the root with organic and inorganic dyes. At the same time, it acquires resistance to decay and grows stronger. The wood is well polished, stained and tinted. Surface treatment can be carried out by all conventional means. First, we will cut the beech into 8-9mm thick lamellas. After that, we profile on a Dewalt thickness gauge. We will then cut the into two sizes using a Festool Kapex. And this is 450mm - this is for the legs and 1600 for the top of the bench. To glue all the parts, we need a lot of clamps and patience.))) In advance, we will prepare a template from the board to bend the lamellas after gluing. For the top we use maple, in which we cut holes of different diameters. Cover with oil wax from osmo.
