Israeli forces reportedly shelled the Safad School in the Zeitoun area of Gaza City, killing at least 11 Palestinians and injuring dozens, Al Jazeera reported. The school has been used to house forcibly displaced people according to the outlet. At least 14,500 children are estimated to have been killed in Gaza per figures reported by the United Nations in May while the charity Save the Children reported in June that about 21,000 children in Gaza are thought to be missing, some of them taken by the IDF. Reporting in April by the outlet ProPublica confirmed that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has refused to sanction Israeli military units credibly accused of physically and sexually assaulting minor Palestinian children.
