Challenges and Open Issues in Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7

The 21st International Conference on Next Generation Wired/Wireless Networks and Systems NEW2AN 2021 takes place online August 30-31, 2021. It is an established conference featured by proceedings published by Springer LNCS and distinguished keynote speakers. In this conference, Evgeny Khorov gives a keynote talk on “Challenges and Open Issues in Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7“. The keynote talk is dedicated to the development of the standard for Wi-Fi technology. The talk focuses on the two novel standard amendments: (Wi-Fi 6), which has recently appeared on the market, and a highly anticipated (Wi-Fi 7), which is under active development. In the talk, Evgeny Khorov describes how promising approaches are implemented in the future Wi-Fi standard, what and why is left beyond the scope of the standard, and how the research community can contribute to maximizing user experience in Wi-Fi networks.
