50s Jazz “Noir“ Vocal (Popcorn) Movie clip from “Odds Against Tomorrow“ is a 1959 “Film Noir“ produced and directed by Robert Wise for “HarBel Productions“ a company founded by the film's star, Harry Belafonte, born March 1, 1927, in Harlem, New York, United States, died April 25, 2023, in Manhattan, New York, United States. Belafonte selected Abraham Lincoln Polonsky to write the script, which is based on a novel by William P. McGivern. As a blacklisted by the Hollywood movie studios, after refusing to testify at congressional hearings of the House Un-American Activities Committee, in the midst of the McCarthy era. Writer Polonsky used a front name, John O. Killens, a black novelist and friend of Belafonte's. In 1996, the Writers Guild of America restored Polonsky's credit under his real name.
