It is the most dramatic cheating scandal ever to rock the world of Formula 1 racing. Flavio Briatore, the flamboyant Renault team boss had to step down after Renault decided not to contest charges of fixing the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix. Briatore allegedly asked the Brazilian driver Nelson Piquet to deliberately crash to help his team mate Alonso to win the race.
