Robert Jenrick has claimed that mass immigration is causing a national identity crisis in England. The Tory leadership hopeful argued that high net migration, which reached 764,000 in 2022, is creating “profound challenges“ for society and weakening national unity. He suggested that this identity crisis contributed to recent unrest, including riots following the Southport knife attack. Jenrick warned that immigration, combined with the influence of the “metropolitan establishment,“ is threatening English culture and cohesion. Discussing his claims with Alex Phillips is ex-Labour MP Baroness Hoey and Executive Director of the Henry Jackson Society, Dr Alan Mendoza. #news #politics #uk #islam #talk #talkradio
