Hey guys! We had planned on a Beatles song for tonight, but we had to play one for Jimmy Buffett. Any musician that plays in Florida especially knows Jimmy Buffett’s music like the back of their hand. Colt has been playing his songs for years at gigs. During the beginning of the pandemic, we drove around just to get out of the house, and the kids would beg to hear, “Cheeseburger in Paradise”. You know how certain songs take you back to different times in your life? That song takes me back to that time, and I see Bellamy sticking her head out of the backseat window, singing that song at the top of her lungs into the wind. We performed that song a few years back for you guys. We were shocked when his management team reached out and told us that Jimmy saw our video and loved it. They asked if we would do an interview on Margaritaville Radio and play “Fins” during our segment. Bellamy even got a dance lesson from Nadirah and Tina, Jimmy’s backup singers/dancers. We were shocked and so sad to hear of his passing. He made music that made a lot of people happy, and forget the struggles of everyday life for a bit. It certainly did that for us. We hope you enjoy tonight’s song, in loving memory of Jimmy Buffett. This is Colt Clark and the Quarantine Kids playing, “Come Monday” by Jimmy Buffett. We're the Clark family. Colt (the dad) is a professional musician and Aubree (me, the mom behind the camera) is a photographer. Together we home school our three children. To keep busy during the shutdown we started learning and recording a new song every other day to share with our friends and family. We love playing music and spending time together as a family. Hopefully these songs brighten your day!
