Since my GTC 2020 talk & videos on #brigade, I’ve gotten a few questions about how refraction works in the engine. Here is a stress test showing refractive caustics through multiple glass layers in real-time (@ 60 fps) using the latest brigade path-tracing kernel on single RTX 2080. It’s still a WIP. The light being refracted is a spectron quad light (introduced in octane 2020.1) being tilted up and down off-camera behind the glass ashtray.
