The Waverly School, Sydney, Australia. Full titles read: “BIRD DAY - In Australia.“ Intertitle reads: “'Bird Day' hatches out a real flock of imitators - and what a flock.“ L/S's of large group of school boys. The commentator informs us that the idea of 'Bird Day' is to instil the “young mind with a love of birds. L/S's of the all the boys doing an impression of the sound a Jackass makes (it sounds more like a yelling sound !). M/S of two boys imitating the sound of a magpie. C/U of young boy making a warbling sound, apparently this is supposed to be a Jackass calling its young. Several other shots of the boys performing other bird imitations, including an unidentified bird sound which a boy makes by whistling and plucking his bottom lip with his finger and also the sound of sparrows. Note: This is quite a bizarre and funny story. FILM ID:1050.2 A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
