Meshuggah live at Englarockfestivalen, Ängelholm, Sweden August 10th 1996. 00:00 Soundcheck 03:10 Humiliative 08:00 Catatonic Transfixion 12:41 Sickening 18:02 Future Breed Machine 24:25 Soul Burn 30:34 Suffer in Truth 35:57 God of Rapture 42:05 Vanished Before you whine about the lame audience (which unfortunately more than 50% of the commenters focus on). This was not a metal festival. It was mixed and I think Meshuggah was the only metal band present. There were a bunch of hard core fans up front (including me) who loved the band and knew all the songs, but for me it was not only about listening to the band. I also wanted to see them perform, and so did many of my friends. Banging and moshing is a great way to show appreciation for the band but you miss out a lot on what's happening on stage, and as a musician myself I wanted to study their playing. Behind us were people who didn't know the band and no one can blame them. They were not into metal. I'm sure they were impressed anyway. The band´s performance is awesome! The festival was a disaster when about attendants were expected while about 400 showed up. That's why you see people with orange “staff shirts“ in the audience. Many bands canceled. Right before the show Meshuggah had to deal with payment issues with the festival organisation and I think they finally entered the stage without knowing if they were gonna get paid or not. It was however solved in the end.
