Dee D. Jackson was born Deirdre Elaine Cozier in Oxford, England, 1954, and came to Munich in the mid-70s with nearly no cash in her pocket. She arrived at Union Sound studios where she met drummer Keith Forsey and bass player Gary Unwin and next thing she knew, Unwin got her a record deal with Ralph Siegel's Jupiter Records where her 1976 debut single Man Of A Man was released. It was, however, the second single, Automatic Lover, that started creating waves in 1978, rising to #4 in the UK charts and #5 in Germany. The concept album Cosmic Curves was put together and released simultaneously with the second single Meteor Man later that year. A second LP, Thunder & Lightning, and a handful of non-album singles were released throughout the early 80s, enjoying success particularly in Italy where Deirdre still lives to this day. A third album, Blame It On The Rain, was released 1995.
