It was described as ‘hell’ by RT reporter Andrey Filatov (although not in such polite language). The battle for Adveevka was long, brutal and bloody, lasting months as Russian forces slowly took the outskirts of the city, breaking through to the center and splitting Ukrainian forces in two. One key division of those forces was 114th Brigade of the 1st Army Corps, who were at the front of the assault on Adveevka’s coke plant and slag heap. The capture of this strategically important location, by tank and by artillery and by drone, cemented Russia’s hold on the front, and provided a staging ground for further battles to come. This exclusive footage, captured by Filatov and his team in October of last year, shows that battle.
