Titles read: “Would you believe it? Queer things the World over. No. 12.“ Various locations of events. C/U of a print of the Grand Archduke of Austria who had a writing machine invented for him 150 years ago. The machine, seen in Austria, consists of complicated machinery contained in a globe that writes words with a quill pen. Several shots show how it all works by clockwork. (Looks like it would be easier to just write it yourself.) Also in Austria we see the first typewriting machine made in 1865. In Pasadena in California, United States of America, we see men experimenting with millions of volts to test insulators for high power electric lines. Good shots of electricity buzzing over the insulators and wires. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
