Time to go to jangle pop school! Who else loves this subgenre of rock? It's closely related sister is power pop! In this video I explain what jangle pop is, discuss the origins of jangle pop, and provide a list of bands to get started with in your jangle pop listening journey! The Beatles, the Byrds, and the Searchers, Everly Brothers had a hand in starting this genre. Kudos to them! Big Star, Badfinger, and The Beach Boys also were influencers of jangle pop groups of the 80s. I show jangle pop items from my vinyl record collection and CD collection.
