Second Performance! Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov (1844-1908) is a famous russian composer, author of 15 operas, symphonic, chamber, vocal and piano music. He is extremely popular and even some musical institutions in Saint Petersburg were named after him (incl. St. Petersburg Conservatory and one of the musical colleges). In 2019 the 175th anniversary of his birthday was widely celebrated in Russia. However, some of his works still have not been recorded, and some of them have been performed only by amateur musicians. Mazurka in F-sharp major was composed by 1894 year with the Prelude-Impromtu in A-flat major, which was published (without the Mazurka) in the Anniversary Album to Vasily Bessel. Performed by Victor Nikolaev. The “Forgotten Tune“ project's aim is to find some totally unknown classical masterpieces, perform them and bring them to the wide audience. The project is divided into three series: 1. “Premiere Performance“: compositions of this series have not been recorded and published on the Internet yet. 2. “Second Performance“: compositions of this series exists only in poor quality performances, so I give the second performance to them. 3. “Cycle Reunited“: cycles recorded for this series have not been recorded in complete versions, only separate pieces can be found on the Internet. В 2019 году в России широко отмечалось 175-летие со дня рождения композитора. Мазурка фа-диез минор, ор. 38 No. 2 была сочинена к 1894 году вместе с с Прелюдией-экспромтом ля-бемоль мажор, которая, в свою очередь, была издана в Юбилейном альбоме русских композиторов Василию Бесселю. Исполняет Виктор Николаев. Цель проекта «Забытый напев» - поиск совершенно неизвестных шедевров классической музыки, их исполнение и знакомство с ними широкой аудитории. Проект делится на три серии: 1. “Премьерные записи“: произведения этой серии записаны и опубликованы в Интернете впервые. 2. “Второе исполнение“: произведения этой серии существуют в посредственных записях, так что я даю им второе исполнение. 3. “Восстановление цикла“: циклы, записанные в рамках этой серии, ни разу не записывались в полном виде, можно найти только отдельные пьесы.
