It was a long cherished dream of Engineer and bicycle enthusiast Vincent van Eerd to design and build a folding bike. The story starts in 1998 when his first design was made. Due to negative advice from some people in the design field nothing was done with it. A new simpler design was made, which led to a job at Sparta Bicycle factory. But no glorious future was planned for this design either. Now 22 years later Vincent being an independent frame builder, builds conversions based on the Brompton Bicycle main frames with custom forks and rear frames.
