It covers me hiking up a tributary creek of the remote, Bonnet Plume River where I panned for gold, prospecting a nice gold nugget. I also found an off-grid log cabin, saw some wildlife (including Dall’s Sheep), I fly fished for Arctic Grayling, and more. I was all alone in the Yukon wilderness and making my way to the Peel River which I'd follow to my floatplane pick-up location. This river is so remote it necessitates both a fly-in and a fly-out. I was the only person to paddle the Bonnet Plume in 2022 meaning I literally had a massive wilderness area all to myself. My next series will begin running next week so stay tuned for that and I’ll eventually be releasing a full documentary version of this adventure as well. The Yukon is a place where dreams are made and where adventurers have been going to follow their dreams since the Klondike gold rush in the 1880s. As much as anyone, I went there to follow my dreams and they became a reality…..but like Robert Service's poem the Spell of the Yukon says “I want to go back, and I will“ which I did. This film series covers my second big solo adventure in the Yukon.
