Igor Mihailovich Shalimov, born 2 February 1969 in Moscow (Russia). 136 games and 25 goals in Serie A, playing as midfielder with Foggia, Inter, Udinese and Bologna for a total 6 seasons (from 1991 to 1998). He was a member of the USSR national team which participated in the 1990 FIFA World Cup. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union he represented the unified CIS team at the 1992 UEFA European Championship. He was one of a number of key players who refused to play for then-coach Pavel Sadyrin at the 1994 FIFA World Cup. Two years later he became a member of the Russia national team for the 1996 UEFA European Championship. For him a total of 47 international games and 5 goals.
