Cowboy Jack is with Memorial Hermann Life Flight in The Texas Medical Center to learn about helicopters and what being a flight nurse is all about! Our friend Flight Nurse Ryan is going to show us all around a Memorial Hermann Life Flight helicopter right on a real helipad, one of the busiest civilian helipads in the world. We're going to learn about helicopters, but this isn't a normal is a Life Flight helicopter which means its an ambulance of the sky! This incredible program was developed by Dr. James “Red“ Duke and was the second of its kind in the world. The purpose of the program is so if you are hurt badly you can get to world class care at one of the many Memorial Hermann facilities anywhere in the state FAST. These amazing people do amazing things every single day and serve on the front lines of saving lives, and they've given Cowboy Jack a chance to show you what they do and how they do it!
