Item title reads: “ First Bridegroom pilot. Well known aviator, Major Openshaw, after marriage to Miss A.J Bruce, flies his bride in his own machine for honeymoon at Bournemouth.“ Yeovil, Somerset M/S bride and groom emerge from a church through a guard of honour - an arch made by people holding wing formers. The crowd throw flowers or rice at them - quite hard - and they laugh. At the airfield, the bride and groom don flying helmets and goggles watched by smiling guests - two girls tie a silver slipper to the underside of a wing. The couple board the plane, - the bride still with bouquet, pose for the camera and the plane taxis away. It takes off, banks, and flies into distance. Note: another poular flying story for 1927.
