Since my previous creature breach vfx shot had a lot of interest for a tutorial, I decided to make a similar looking shot using the same techniques, albeit a little less complex, so that it could be fit in a workshop. You can access it here. I hope you find it instuctive! To shed some stats about the making of the shot, something people have been quite keen about knowing: Length - 400 frames Particle count - around 100 million on the whitewater. Simulation time for FLIP water - 35 min Simulation time for all whitewater - 57 min Render time - Average of 6 min/frame (Karma CPU) Disk footprint - 219 GB Workstation specs - AMD Threadripper 3970x, 128 GB RAM (not fully utilized on simulations)
