Israeli fighter jets struck Houthi military targets in the area of Hodeidah port in Yemen on Saturday, the Israeli military said, a day after a drone launched by the Iranian-backed Houthi group hit Israel's economic hub Tel Aviv. In response, Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi stated on Sunday that the recent Israeli strikes in Yemen's Hodeidah port would “not benefit“ Israel. “ It will not provide it with deterrence, nor will it prevent the operations carried out by the Yemeni (Houthi) army in support of the Palestinian people and their dear Mujahideen, nor will it prevent us from continuing the fifth stage of escalation against the Israeli enemy and supporting the Palestinian people,“ he said. Meanwhile, residents in Yemen's capital, Sanaa, remained defiant in the face of the Israeli strikes on Hodeidah, expressing determination that these attacks would not deter them.
