A Wind Blows on the Sacred Mountain Welcome to stage 5 and it is acually easier than the previous stage. Well maybe, still for the fifth stage it's pretty simple. Sure the enemy attacks come at you fast and hard but there's only a small select set of varieties of attacks and with the exception of the “wind cutter“ attacks (I don't know what they are but both Sanae AND Kanako use them so they seem like some sort of wind attack) the attacks are very predictable and give you plenty of room to avoid them. Sanae as a mid boss is the toughest thing you'll face here and it's just her cool down phase of all things. You're left with a very small window to dodge and you have to do it sideways. It is not easy to fit in there. Like Aya ending the tradition of the stage 4 boss using different attacks depending on the character with Sanae this now marks the end of a tradition of stage 5 bosses throwing some new and interesting gimmick to the fight. No time stopping, no time slowing, and no duplicate bullet shenanigans and as a result she is the easiest stage 5 boss I've ever faced. Her overlying theme tends to be very tightly packed bullets but I have no problem dodging them as Marisa so anyone playing as Reimu would have an even easier time.
