Jacques Herb, pseudonym of Jack van Herp (Rotterdam, 28 mei 1946), is a Dutch singer, born in Rotterdam. He was the youngest in a family of 13 children. Barely 15 years old, he signed on as a sailor and already showed his talent as a singer in the various seaports. He accompanied himself on his guitar. He was discovered by Pierre Kartner in 1970 during a talent show in Scheveningen. His greatest hit no doubt was this 'Manuela' a big hit in 1971 (no. 1 in the Dutch Top 40 for 3 weeks).
